brood mares under 14.2hh

Coswarth Abigail

DOB: 1988

Colour: Dk Brown

Height: 12.2hh

A proven pony brood mare whose progeny excel in showing and jumping.  Regularly shown in hand with foal at foot with success at local and county level.  Her 'under-saddle' career was cut short due to an accident as a 3 year old but she was broken at 17 and is now riding on beautifully!  She has now retired as a brood mare but her career as a child’s riding pony is just beginning.

Progeny:

Coswarth Mr Pieman (geld. b. 1994) by Harwoods Simple Simon
Coswarth Miss Muffet (mare b. 1995) by Harwoods Simple Simon

Coswarth Miss Moneypenny (filly b. 2004) by Diptford Star of India

Coswarth Fair Damsel

DOB: 1996

Colour: Dk Brown

Height: 14.0hh

"Selly" had been retired from competing under saddle following a hunting accident but is now sound and has started work again.  She was showing promise as a 14hh show hunter pony and excelled at dressage.  As the last daughter of Piran Camilla, her excellent bloodlines are an asset to the stud.

Progeny:

Coswarth Elegance (filly b. 2005) by Trelawn Couturier

Cloonisle Colleen

DOB: 1996

Colour: Grey

Height: 14.2hh

Colleen represents a dream to include pure-bred Connemaras in our breeding programme and was purchased in 2004.  She was competed in M&M classes, both flat and jumping, winning at Devon County in 2005, plus many other excellent results.

Progeny:

“Paddy” (colt b. 2008) by Spinway Kestrel

Breaffy Pride

DOB: 1996

Colour: Grey

Height: 14.2hh

Bridie was an opportunity not to be missed when she came up for sale in 2005.  She has lots of presence and has taken to jumping really well, being completely uncomplicated in every way.

Fara’s Justice

DOB: 2000

Colour: Grey

Height: 14.2hh

Lucy needed maturing before being aimed at M&M classes; so after last season’s dressage, eventing and showjumping, she was put in foal to our own stallion Fairground Attraction of Coswarth and had a lovely grey filly foal.

Progeny:

Coswarth Diamond Attraction (filly b. 2007) by Fairground Attraction of Coswarth

Chelsea Girl

DOB: 1997

Colour: Chestnut

Height: 14.2hh

Chelsea continues our affiliation with the Piran lines, as they have bred some of the best children’s ponies over the years.  She is a lovely substantial mare, with lots of presence and good conformation.  She is that rare type that could breed hacks, hunter ponies or show ponies.

She competed in the In-Hand Hunter Pony classes at Stithians Show in 2006 & 2007 and won and went Champion in both years!

Progeny:

Coswarth Musical Boy (geld. b. 2005) by King’s Composer

Coswarth Gypsy Maid (filly b. 2006) by Devil’s Jump

Coswarth Fine & Dandy (bay colt b. 2008) by Trelawn Couturier

Coswarth Miss Muffet

DOB: 1995

Colour: Chestnut

Height: 13.0hh

‘Muppet’ might be joining our brood mares next year, as we are unsure whether our rider might look too big for her next season!  She has excelled in Show Hunter Pony classes and loves dressage, where, with her extravagant paces, she always scores highly for her way of going.  She was contesting Nursery Stakes classes but is taking some time out due to a lack of rider.
